A Linden teen is now dead after a drunk driver struck him down early yesterday morning.
According to a police statement, Denilson Rose, 16, of Noitgedacht, Lin-den, was walking along the Washer Pond Road around 3:30 am when he was hit by a speeding car, with the number plate PRR 6503.
The driver was subsequently arrested and a breathalyser test revealed that he was above the legal alcohol limit. He is currently in police custody.
