Despite a hat trick from Bishaun Khemraj, La Bonne Intention Secondary duly recorded a four-wicket victory over Enterprise when the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) inaugural National Secondary School Cricket League (NSSCL) sponsored by Digicel, Banks DIH’s Coco Cola and Rainforest Water continued last week.
Enterprise, batting first were bowled out for 86 in 23 overs with Navendra Chan top scoring with 28.
Kumar Persaud bagged four wickets for four runs from five overs while Nandkumar Krishna supported with 2/16.
Nandkumar Krishna completed a fine all-round performance scoring 50.
Bowling for Enterprise Secondary, Khemraj took 3-14.
At the D’ Edward ground, Berbice, Belladrum batting first, were dismissed for 74 in 18 overs. Dishan Phillips took 3-10 while Dinauth Persaud and Nigel Deodat supported with two wickets apiece.
Number 8 then raced to 75 in just 6.3 overs without losing a wicket. Dishan Phillips completed an outstanding all-round performance with an unbeaten 45.
The League continues today when Camille Institute’s clashes with Soesdyke Secondary.
