China helping GPHC set up trauma centre

The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) today received a total of $80M worth of equipment from the People’s Republic of China, for the setting up of a trauma centre.

GINA said that the signing of the documents for the collaborative venture at the GPHC’s Resource Centre was effected by the Chinese Ambassador Zhang Limin, and Minister within the Ministry of Public Health Dr. Karen Cummings, along with Minister of Foreign Affairs Carl Greenidge.

Anesthesia machines are among the items which were handed over.
