At approximately 18:30hrs on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, ranks of the Lethem Police Station whilst conducting a search on a motor vehicle at the Guyana/Brazil Multi-Complex Crossing, unearthed six 20-gauge cartridges and a shotgun component.
A release from the police yesterday said that the occupants of the vehicle, two Guyanese and three Brazilian nationals were arrested and are in custody assisting the police in their investigation.
