At 1910h. last evening, the police say that three masked men armed with handguns entered the grocery of Mohabir Singh, 25 years, of First Street, Goed Fortuin, WBD, gun- butted him to his head and escaped with a quantity of cash, in a waiting vehicle. A customer Sherwin Mayers, 37 years, was also relieved of his cellular phone and $20,000.00 cash.
The police said that the village has an active and vibrant Community Policing Group under the Chairmanship of Vickram Vieira but unfortunately the group was not out on patrol during the robbery. However, crime sleuths in the Division believe that this gang would be apprehended soon since they are homing in.
