The Private Sector Commission (PSC) congratulated the Government and the Mayor and City Council’s clean-up efforts and issued a call to the business community to support same by adhering to the waste disposal regulations.
According to PSC press release, “The city and its surroundings are indeed looking impressive and much more conducive to facilitating business.”
The PSC issued a call to the business community to support the efforts by “complying with regulations to properly dispose of waste and have effective solid waste management systems in place.” It has been observed, the PSC said, significant waste is usually generated by businesses and in the past businesses have contributed to the untidy environment.
Further, PSC said, it is recommended that all businesses take responsibility for a clean and healthy environment in their business vicinities and “conduct what is considered to be good corporate social responsibility.”
