Regal Masters trounced Floodlights XI by six wickets to clinch the title of the Masters category of the Guyana Cup 5 three-day tournament which concluded last evening.
Played at the Demerara Cricket Club ground, Floodlights XI notched up 160 after batting first with Yunie Yusuf (31) and the veteran Wayne Jones (20) the principal scorers.
David Harper was destructive with the ball bagging 4 for 19 for Regal who in their reply cruised to 161 and losing just four wickets in the process.
Eon Abel missed his chance to score a ton on the big occasion but chipped in with an unbeaten 80 while a solid 42 from Rudolph Barker complemented the former as they reached the target with relative ease.
Floodlights bowling was led by Imtiaz Mohammed who grabbed 2 for 26.
