Agricola Red Triangle were crowned the EBFA/Lens Craft Optical u-13 Champions, defeating Kuru-Kururu Warriors in their final fixture Saturday at the Grove Community ground.
Already securing the title due to an unassailable lead, Agricola defeated the Warriors via the walkover route, dethroning holders Grove Hi-Tech in the process who finished the event in second position.
Agricola finished on 15 points from their six matches, with five wins and one defeat.
For their efforts, they walked away with the championship trophy and medals.
Copping trophies for placing third and fourth were Herstelling and Mocha Champs respectively while the team Fair Play trophy went to Grove Hi-Tech.
In the individual section of the awards, Agricola’s Leon Moore was adjudged the event’s most valuable player while Shoran James of Herstelling Raiders was the highest goal-scorer award with seven conversions.
Christopher Adams of Agricola copped the Best Goalkeeper accolade after only conceding two goals in the entire event.
