Newly appointed Chancellor of the University of Guyana (UG), Professor Nigel Harris is slated to deliver the keynote address at the 49th Convocation of the University’s Turkeyen campus, on Saturday, November 14, at 16: 30 h on the University Square, Turkeyen campus.
A release from UG yesterday said that more than 1,000 students are expected to graduate from the Faculties of Agriculture and Forestry, Education and Humanities, Health Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Technology and the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
The release said that the ceremony will also mark the graduation of the first batch of students with the Post-Graduate Diploma in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care and the Certificate in Industrial Engineering.
Guests are asked to be seated by 16:15 h.
The Berbice campus’s Convocation is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2015.
