Old Fort and the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) battled to a 3-3 draw in their first division fixture when the Guyana Telephone & Telegraph (GT&T) company National Indoor Championships continued on Thursday at the National Gymnasium at Mandela Avenue.
Dwight Sullivan led Old Fort with a double on either side of the half time interval while Jason Clarke recorded a solo effort. On the other side, Dwayne Scott registered a double on both sides of the half time while Kevin Spencer scored a netted a conversion to share thespoils between the undefeated teams.
Meanwhile in the second matchup of the section, Pumas downed Hikers by a 3-1 score line. Aroydy Branford found the back of the net twice in the win while Keon McKenzie assisted with a singular conversion. On target in the loss was Robert France.
The final first division fixture witnessed Jaguars grounding Phoenix by a 3-2 margin. In the Ladies Section, the National u-21 unit defeated Old Fort 1-0. In the second division fixture, GCC downed Old Fort by a 2-0 margin compliments of goals from Michael Craig and Trevon Smith.
The final matchups of the section saw Saints downing Saint Stanislaus College 4-2 while Phoenix burnt Hikers by a 3-1 score line. The grand finale of the tourney will commence on Sunday from 19:00hrs at the same venue.
