Old Fort recoded the largest margin of victory in the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T) company National Indoor Championships, crushing St Stanislaus by a 12-2 margin in their first division matchup on Saturday at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.
With the win, Old Fort will now faceoff with Hikers in the event’s semi-final section while the second semi-final matchup will pit group leaders Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) against Pumas.
In the women’s division, the unbeaten GCC Tigers defeated the National u-21 by 2-1 margin while Panthers pounced on Old Fort by a 5-2 margin. Up to press time, the respective finals were being contested at the same venue.
