E-Networks customers will now be able to access 10 network channels with no monthly subscription with the purchase of the new Orange Box.
Vishok Persaud, Managing Director of the company, said the idea was birthed after consideration was given to lower income customers, a press release from the company said.
The Orange Box, which costs a one-time payment of $19,500, was officially launched on Monday at the company’s Camp Street office. It can be installed by customers themselves after purchase.
According to the company, the service offers clearer digital image quality via digital transmission and the channels will cover a wide range of programming, such as news, entertainment, education and children’s packages, including programmes from E-networks own channels E1, E2, and E3, which also airs its own local productions.
Part-payment will also be arranged for customers who are unable to pay for the service at one time. Additionally, they will be allowed to upgrade at any time to E-Network’s full suite of channels, which starts from $3,500 monthly.
Persaud noted that the while the service currently reaches clients from Soesdyke to Mahaica, Canal No 2 and Parika, plans are in train to attract new customers in Berbice and Linden in 2016.
