A successful collaborative blood donation drive between Massy Industries and the New Amsterdam Hospital Blood Bank, yielded 32 units of blood, surpassing the target of 30 units.
A release from Massy Industries reported that the initiative was held on Friday 13th November, in New Amsterdam to address the urgent need for blood at the hospital’s blood bank.
Among the various organisations supporting the venture were Laparkan, Citizens and Nova Scotia Banks, Caricom Insurance, GPL, Oldendorff Carriers as well as the Security and the Distribution sectors of Massy.
Massy Industries expressed its thanks to all who donated and reminded members of the business community of their corporate and social responsibility to become engaged and lead in blood donations.
