Industry resident Emile Ferreira, suffered a fractured hip following an accident at La Bonne Intention on the East Coast last Thursday at around 11pm.
Ferreira, a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital and slated to undergo surgery this week, said he was returning home in a well-known East Coast Taxi when another car collided with theirs. According to him, he was on his phone at the time of the accident and as such only has a vague recollection of what occurred. What he does recollect were bright car lights coming towards them and a sudden impact.
Ferreira added that since the accident when he made a report to the police, he has been unable to contact the driver and calls to the car service where he works were unsuccessful since they were reluctant to furnish any information on the driver.
