Williams an auto salesman from Wortmanville, is alleged to have had in his possession 9 live rounds of .45 ammunition and one .45 pistol, following a police search of a motor vehicle in the vicinity of Alberttown on October 16.

His lawyer maintained that at the time of the search, the ammunition and weapon found in the car did not belong to his client, because he is not the title holder of the vehicle. However, the prosecution pointed out that in a caution statement made by the accused, he claims to have made the decision to retain the gun and ammunition for his own protection after having found them.

Williams was subsequently remanded until November 27.
