Media InSite Ltd has launched its regional media monitoring company in Guyana.
While the company is headquartered in Port of Spain, Trinidad, founder Allison Demas said at Wednesday’s launching that the growth of Guyana’s economy is what attracted the company to its shores. She said that compared Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, and Barbados, where the company is stationed, Guyana shows more promise in its economy for the newly innovative and “one of a kind” business to thrive.
Media inSite will monitor and accurately measure radio, television, cable, and newspaper advertising as well as news content in the countries in which it has been launched. The company aims at providing solutions for brands, companies, media houses, advertising agencies, public relations agencies, and government agencies.
Any company or brand that subscribes to the service will have to pay a fee, depending on the specific company or brand. “A commercial bank and a food outlet wouldn’t have to pay the same amount of money because their needs are different,” Joe Taylor, Vice-President of the company said. He explained that while the company will be collecting and organising the information, how to use it would be up to the client in order to maximise its appeal.
