Dear Editor,
It was a breath of fresh air when I learnt that Patricia Chase-Green, Deputy Mayor, is interested in contesting for the mayorship. I support her to become the Mayor of the City of Georgetown.
I believe she is well-schooled in the various aspects of city management, coordination, training, communication with employees, and that she understands the needs of the city and the people of Georgetown. She has been around for decades and understands this city better than most people.
I have had some association with her, and saw her in action in administering the city’s activities, the markets, hygiene, and mobilization and deployment of staff and resources for the benefit of workers and citizens, and so much more.
She is known to be most trustworthy. Her name is one that evokes respect. She is also an Ambassador of Peace of the Universal Peace Federation, and her activities as an ambassador are known and noted. Her very persona evokes her peacefulness and personal decorum.
I wish to advise one and all, that I am not a political person, never have been, and that I have choices and friends in all political entities. I usually vote and support personalities and philosophies. Therefore, I am supporting Patricia Chase-Green’s bid to become Mayor, and I would even volunteer time to assist in any campaign if asked. I vote for principle not partisan politics.
Let us support someone who knows the city, has a track record, and cares about the City of Georgetown.
Yours faithfully,
Roshan Khan
