The fourth night in the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Georgetown Championship continues today at the National Cultural Centre tarmac on Mandela Avenue with another round of group fixtures.
In the opening fixture at 19:00hrs, South Sophia will lock horns with Upsetters while the second matchup of the night will pit Young Ballers against Island All-Stars at 19:30hrs. The third fixture of the night witness Holmes Street Tiger Bay facing off with Stevedore Housing Scheme from 20:00hrs.
In the fourth matchup at 20:30hrs, Queen Street Tiger Bay will oppose Jamoon Drive whilst Bent Street will tackle South Ruimveldt from 21:00hrs. At 21:30hrs, Festival City Street Fighters will lock horns with Shopping Plaza while Gold Star will tackle Broad Street Bullies from 22:00hrs.
The final match of the night will pit Sparta Boss against Back Circle from 22:30hrs. Winner of the event will pocket $500,000, the championship trophy and the right to represent the zone at the national tourney while the second, third and fourth placed units will collect $200,000. $150,000 and $100,000 respectively and the corresponding accolade.
