Fifth form student of Queen’s College, 16 year-old Terron Alleyne, who was on Friday robbed of his laptop computer, School-Based Assessments (SBA) and school books, yesterday had his laptop replaced by President David Granger. GINA said that the President made the presentation, to Alleyne, who was accompanied by his father Terrence Alleyne, at the Ministry of the Presidency.
The President, GINA said, was made aware of Terron’s plight and in an effort to ensure that nothing gets in the way of his preparations for the upcoming Caribbean Secondary Examination Council (CSEC) exams, the Head of State presented him with the laptop.
Terron told the Ministry, that he was on his way home from extra lessons when he was attacked and his haversack containing the items stolen.
GINA said that Terron, who was delighted to have received the laptop, said he will be sitting a total of ten subjects.
