Dear Editor,
I wish to remind President Granger of a promise he made during his election campaign while in Lethem. He promised that if he got into office he would address the situation in relation to the upsurge of Chinese businesses. Today in Lethem there are an increasing number of such businesses which are forcing the local operators out of business. If the government does not intervene quickly, we as a local business will be forced to close our doors and put at least 15 employees out of a job. It means 15 families in Lethem will suffer due to a loss of income and most of these are single mothers.
Yours faithfully,
(Name and address provided)
