The body of a Herstelling man, who went missing on Friday, was found yesterday in a clump of bushes behind the Park Vue Hotel at Farm, East Bank Demerara
Samaroo Seepersaud, 63, was discovered by a search party made up of relatives.
Seepersaud had left his home early on Friday morning for his regular exercise, but he never returned home, a relative told Stabroek News.
According to the relative, after he did not return home, suspicions were raised as to his whereabouts and persons began searching for him. After driving through the area and finding no sign of him, relatives began combing the entire area on foot. One of Seepersaud’s sons and another relative were behind the Park Vue Hotel searching when the stumbled upon the body in a clump of bushes yesterday.
There were reportedly no marks of violence on the man’s body.
The police were called and the body was subsequently transported to the Lyken Funeral Home.
Meanwhile, the body of a man that washed ashore behind the Marriott Hotel on Friday remains unidentified at the funeral home.
