Two youths, who were charged in February with multiple counts of armed robbery, had the cases against them dismissed yesterday after it was found that an identification parade was not
conducted properly. It was alleged that Akeem Marshall, 21, of Albouystown, and Keon Simon, 19, of Charlestown, on January 2nd, at Palm Street, Georgetown, used a gun to rob
Inez Hope, Yvonne Langevine, and Christopher Langevine of over $1.3 million in items and currency. Trial Magistrate Judy Latchman said the court was not satisfied that the witness produced by the prosecution had enough time to properly look at the men’s physical features. Further, the identification parade that was conducted was not properly done.
