Government yesterday announced that cabinet has approved the title of state land at Tucville to the Uncle Eddie’s Home, where the senior citizen facility is located.
Minister of State Joseph Harmon made the announcement yesterday at his post-Cabinet press briefing saying government hopes now that the developmental works planned for the facility can proceed.
He explained that since the 3.2 acres of land was owned by the state, work on the home was stymied. As such government decided this week to gift the land to the home which has been in operation for over 55 years.
