Dear Editor
I wish to draw your attention to a grave injustice that continues unabated even though I’ve spoken to both the city council and the Ministry of Public Works.
I have two properties situated at Lot 47 Da Silva Street, Newtown and for two years a big derelict garbage truck has been permanently parked on my parapet preventing ingress and egress to my premises. It is parked flush in front one of my bridges (photo supplied).
I have made repeated complaints to both the city council and the Ministry of Public Works to no avail. It is nice to be nicing up Merriman Mall, but the Mayor & City Council must also ensure that parapets are cleared and citizens can live in comfort. I therefore call on both the Mayor and the Ministry of Public Works to take steps as early as possible and clear the parapet of this truck.
Yours faithfully,
Michael Subryan
