North Georgetown whipped St Margaret’s Primary by five wickets to win the North Georgetown Zone in the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB)/Scotiabank Kiddy Progression One Cricket School Competition, played Thursday at the National Racquet Centre, at Woolford Avenue.
St Margaret’s Primary won the toss and elected to bat first. However, after losing their first wicket in the very first over of the innings, they never recovered and limped to 66/7 in 14 overs as none of their batsmen reached double figures. Shaquel Jones picked up 2-5 for North Georgetown, who in reply were led by Nigel Lowe with an unbeaten 29. The team got to their target in the 10th over, losing five wickets in the process.
