Correction

In Saturday’s edition of Stabroek News in the news item under the heading `Charge against Jagdeo over Babu John statements fizzles’ the following quote was incorrectly attributed to Justice Navindra Singh whereas he was referring to the argument of counsel for the applicant, former President Bharrat Jagdeo. The quote is as follows: “…the applicant was merely reporting the actions of other persons and therefore even if the statements disclosed in the particulars of the offence were capable of resulting in racial or ethnic hatred, it is not the applicant who would have been liable for the offence”. Stabroek News regrets the error.
