A match-winning innings of 49 from Keon Sinclair enabled defending champions Courtland All Stars defeat Big Star of Ulverston to reach the semi-finals of the 2015 Raffik & Sons Construction Service Second Division T20 cricket competition for teams in the Lower and Central Corentyne area.
Courtland All Stars played unbeaten in Group A and have advanced to the semi-final round.
Sinclair, whose innings included six fours and two sixes, helped the defending champs post 182 for 9 from their allotted overs.
Ulverston Big Star in reply reached 119 for 5 in 17.1 overs when bad light brought an end to the match, giving Courtland victory on a better run rate. Tasho Forrester made 47.
In another encounter, Mahendra Ramdihal hit 46 (4 fours and 4 sixes) to help Tamarind Root post 152 for 9 in 20 overs against Fyrish, who in reply, reached the target with one ball to spare.
Chetram Roopnarine led the way with 33 (5 fours and 1 six).
