Minister of Governance with responsibility for Natural Resources, Raphael Trotman on Tuesday toured the ship, Fugro Americas which has been contracted by ExxonMobil for geophysical surveys of the offshore area where it found oil earlier this year.
A ministry release said that the 193 foot-long vessel, designed to conduct high resolution geophysical surveys and mappings of the sea floor, arrived in Guyana on Monday and departed the John Fernandes Wharf yesterday for the Stabroek Block, to commence operations until March 2016.
