Almost 350 children were feted recently when the Dharm Shala held its 94th annual Christmas party at its Albouystown premises.
According to a press release, Sita Nagamootoo, wife of the Prime Minister; and Wendy Quinn, wife of the British High Commissioner to Guyana, extended Christmas greetings to the children and assisted in the distribution of toys.
The release said that Mr and Mrs Raymond De Nobrega, who played the roles of Santa and Mrs Claus were welcomed with enthusiasm by the children and did much to add flavour to the event. Pan music was provided by Ras Camo.
