Defending champs Winners Connection and Milerock secured commanding wins over Blueberry Hill and Eagles United respectively when the third annual UDFA/GT Beer Knockout Football Championship continued Friday.
Staged at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground, Winners Connection dismantled Blueberry Hill 3-0. Marmarlaque Davidson was the difference on the night with a hat-trick compliments of three assists from Rawle `Bony’ Gittens.
Davidson opened his account with a 15th-minute strike. He then doubled his side’s lead as he found the back of the net in the 37th-minute. Davidson completed his hat-trick when he found the back of the net in the 46th minute.
Meanwhile, Milerock downed Eagles United 3-1. Surrendering the early lead compliments of a seventh minute strike from Quasi Quintyn, Milerock equalised in the 39th minute as Clarence Huggins scored.
Milerock then took the lead in the 81st minute as Jermaine Grandison etched his name on the scorer’s sheet. Kester Randolph completed the come-from-behind win compliments of an 84th minute attempt.
