The girls of St. Ann’s Orphanage in Georgetown got a special Christmas treat on Monday from the management of the Ramada Georgetown Princess, a release from the hotel said yesterday.
Ramada Georgetown Princess General Manager, Uger Turetgen accompanied by Sales and Marketing Director Petal Ridley visited the orphanage to spread Christmas cheer but were moved by the passionate and heartfelt singing from the girls. The release said that the girls all gathered around the Christmas tree and spread some Christmas cheer of their own moving Turetgen to promise to return on Christmas Day with more gifts.
The team from the Ramada took gifts for each girl and the hotel’s chef prepared a special meal.
Speaking at the simple ceremony for the handing over of the gifts Turetgen said that, “this event was just a start, Ramada will be rolling out the new brand and would be building stronger relationships in the local communities.” He added that, “the Ramada management has already identified youth activities in community including sports and culture for its support in 2016.”
