Investigations are being conducted into the murder of a so far unidentified man of African descent which occurred in a minibus on the Demerara Harbour Bridge about 1830h. today, the police said.
Investigations have revealed that the deceased and another man were passengers in a minibus crossing over the bridge when an argument ensued between them over rain coming in through an open window. During the argument the suspect pulled out a firearm and discharged rounds which struck the now dead man to his neck and another passenger Rudolph Williams, 28 years, to his back, and he escaped by running over the bridge.
Williams has been admitted to hospital.
