A Stewartville, West Coast Demerara woman is now a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital after she was involved in an early morning accident yesterday.
Relatives of Rubena Rogers told Stabroek News that they do not have all the details and were only told that Rogers was taken to the hospital after being involved in an accident at Farm, East Bank Essequibo at around 5 am on Boxing Day.
The relative said based on what Rogers indicated, it would appear that the woman was on her way home when the incident occurred. The relative also said Rogers claimed that the person who knocked her down was someone she was once involved with.
When Stabroek News visited Rogers at the GPH, she was unable to speak due to the pain from the injuries she had sustained.
