A 51-year-old man was yesterday fined after he was read charges of narcotics possession.
Keith Hooper was read charges by Magistrate Alex Moore which stated that on December 29 at Georgetown he had in his possession 5 grammes of cannabis.
Hooper pleaded guilty to the charge read.
When asked by the magistrate his purpose for having the marijuana the defendant stated that it was for his personal use.
Magistrate Moore ordered the accused to pay a fine of $15,000 on or before January 29, 2016 or serve a sentence of 3 months’ imprisonment.
