(Trinidad Express) Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh has launched a probe into the death of a teenage boy whose mother said nurses laughed as he lay writhing in pain at hospital.

Bernice Johnson was on Saturday still trying to come to terms with her son Nathaniel Johnson’s unexplained, sudden death at the Port of Spain General Hospital (POSGH) on Friday night.Nathaniel, 18, died after several hours at the hospital, and his mother believes his death could have been avoided.

Johnson said Nathaniel complained he was feeling unwell on Boxing Day.
