(Trinidad Express) After spending time with his family on New Year’s Day, 27-year-old Ravi Maniedeo was shot and killed outside his apartment in Chaguanas, a short distance from the Longdenville Police Post.
His elder brother, Sarosh Maniedeo, said yesterday his murder was the “worst that could happen”.
Ravi Maniedeo rented an apartment in Longdenville where the Longdenville General Hardware is also located.
Police reports are that around 9.30 p.m., Maniedeo had just arrived at his apartment and was about to exit his black Honda Accord car when he was approached by a man wearing a white armless jersey, black three-quarter pants, with a mask on his face.
The man fired a single shot.
Maniedeo was struck in the head and slumped over the steering wheel of the vehicle.
The assailant ran into a silver Nissan Tiida car which drove away north along the Longdenville Road.
