Dear Editor,
Last year has been a good year for me with my garden, since I started planting three years ago.
I was able to reap bananas, same, pigeon peas and many other things. My pigeon pea trees were very tall and the stems are fragile so I normally pay someone to pick the peas. In the spirit of Christmas I was able to share my produce with neighbour and friends.
The point I want to make is that people out there believe that a person with a disability cannot do certain things. I would like to suggest that more disabled persons should get into gardening which would help them both mentally and physically, and most of all in supporting themselves.
Yours faithfully,
Laurie Greenidge
