Dear Editor,
The newly formed ‘Christians Affected By Crime’ (CABC) group will be organizing its first session on Monday, 11 January, 2016 from 17:00-19:00 hours at the National Library Conference Room on Church Street.
The objectives of the group will be to mobilize a community of individuals to visit crime scenes and pray for the persons who commit crimes, the victims and for the reduction of crimes; to pray for the salvation of persons who have committed crimes against us and others; and to provide spiritual support for the mothers and family members of persons who are praying for their sons and loved ones to stop being involved in criminal activities.
We will be applying a strategy that will directly or indirectly bring us into contact with persons who commit crimes.
The programme for this session will include the identification of ten persons to form a coordinating team for the group; prayer for persons who are involved in criminal activities, prayers for the families of persons who commit crimes, prayers for victims of crimes; someone will stand in the gap and ask forgiveness on behalf of persons who commit crimes; prayers for our children (sons and daughters) that they would not become involved in criminal activities and prayer for those persons who will become involved in the fight against crimes.
Our theme for the session is, ‘one will put a thousand to flight and two would put ten thousand to flight,’ and ‘for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but they are mighty through God to the pulling down of the strongholds of the enemy’.
We are therefore extending this invitation to all Christians, pastors, leaders of churches, intercessors and other persons who are interested in joining in agreement with us in our fight to reduce crime in our beloved country.
We can be contacted on email address [email protected] .
Yours faithfully,
Audreyanna Thomas
