Following a hiatus due to the Christmas season, the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) League Championships will resume today at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall with a doubleheader from 18:30hrs.
In the opening fixture, the University of Guyana (UG) Trojans will lock horns with Plaisance Guardians in their respective final u-23 divisional affair. The final matchup of the night will pit Eagles against Bounty Colts in the first semi-final of the u-23 section from 20:30hrs.
The action will then continue tomorrow at the same venue with a tripleheader. In the evening’s opener at 18:30hrs, Pacesetters will faceoff with Ravens in the second u-23 semi-final fixture.
The second fixture at 20:30hrs will witness Eagles facing off with Melanie Patriots in their final second divisional fixture. In the final fixture at 22:30hrs, Plaisance Guardians will oppose UG Trojans in the first semi-final matchup of the division one section.
On Sunday at the same locale, Republic Bank Nets will match skill Knights in the first semi-final fixture of division two at 18:30hrs while Colts will take on Ravens in the first semi-final fixture of the first division.
The action will resume on Wednesday 13th at the same venue with the u-23 finale at 18:30hrs and the second semi-final fixture of the second division at 20:30hrs. Upon the conclusion of the final group and semi-final matches, the divisional finales will commence. All divisional finales will be contested in a best of three format.
