The 2016 horse racing season continues on Sunday at the Budhan Memorial Turf Club with seven exciting races.
In excess of $3M in cash and trophies will be at stake during the event carded for the No.66 Village, Corentyne establishment.
The J1 and Lower race is the feature event and thoroughbreds like Red Jet, Lady Secret, De Gump, Little, Affinity, Red Regent and others will vie for the $200,000 first prize.
Other races slated for the day include: J3 and lower, K2 and lower, L1 and lower, L2 and lower, Three-Year Old Guyana Bred and the Unclassified.
According to reports, the turf’s track is in excellent condition and all systems are in place for a grand day of horse racing.
The rules of the Guyana Horse Racing Authority will be enforced. Thursday is the deadline for the submission of entries. More information can be had from President of the Club, Neville Budhan or organizer Compton Sancho.
