Albion man fatally stabbed by recently-freed felon

An Albion man was fatally stabbed yesterday by a recently-freed convict and his brother-in-law is hospitalised after they were attacked by the man who was accused of slashing a tyre on their car at Williamsburg, Corentyne.

Dead is Surendra Nauth, 29, of Albion Front, Corentyne. Police said the incident occurred at around ten minutes after midnight yesterday. In a statement, the police said that Nauth and his brother-in-law Totaram Bhola, 25, also of Albion Front, were involved in an argument at Williamsburg with a man who had allegedly slashed a tyre of their vehicle.

“During the argument the man attacked them with a knife and stabbed Surendra Nauth to his abdomen and also inflicted a wound to the forehead of Totaram Bhola,”
