Three persons, including the ex-girlfriend of University of Guyana (UG) law student Glenfield Dennison, are currently in police custody in connection with the shooting that has left him hospitalised.

This was confirmed by Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum, who told Stabroek News that the other two persons in custody include a relative of Dennison’s ex-girlfriend.
The police had recently revealed their interest in questioning Dennison’s ex-girlfriend, who was suspected to have had useful information about the attack.
The trio was arrested yesterday.
Dennison, a Belizean, was shot twice last Thursday around 9 pm outside his Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara residence. He remained a patient in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) up to late yesterday afternoon.
Dennison had just dropped off his girlfriend, who is also a student of UG, when the attack occurred.
