Star T20 all-rounder, Dwayne Bravo will replace fellow Trinidadian Evin Lewis for Saturday’s Legacy/007 Promotions Unity T20 match at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
A press release from tournament Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sean Devers, confirmed that the former West Indies captain will replace the aggressive left-handed opener in the Ramnaresh Sarwan-led Legal All Star team.
They will oppose the Chris Barnwell-led 007 Warriors in the main attraction which bowls off at 19:00hrs.
“Dwayne is one of World’s best T20 players and when he said he wanted to come to Guyana for the game we were delighted to accommodate his last minute request,” Devers said.
“Sunil Narine has to be in England at the end of this month to have his action tested and his absence will be missed by his fans here. Bravo’s presence and that of the World Boss Chris Gayle, Dwayne Smith, Darren Sammy, Lendl Simmons and Jason Holder will insure the expected capacity crowd on Saturday gets a treat, since those guys are among the best in the world in T20 cricket,” Devers added.
Meanwhile, softball fans will also be in for a treat when the semi-finals of the ‘Open 10/10’ between Berbice, Essequibo, Wolf Warriors and Regal are contested with the winners locking horns at 16:30hrs for the Grand prize of $500,000.
