(Barbados Nation) Top United States drug fighters have given Barbadian cops high marks for steering clear of corruption.
Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) agents posted in the violent drug war in Colombia said that if corruption was in this country, they had not seen it.
Matthew Donahue, the assistant regional director of the US-based DEA stationed in the South American country, gave the island the all-clear during the three-day 22nd Annual Pre-International Drug Enforcement Conference 2016 at the Crane Resort, St Philip, which ends today.
“Just coming in from Colombia and travelling to other countries in the region, it could be here but we don’t see it . . . . As drug enforcement agents we can only go by what we have as the success rate, how we are treated and how Barbados’ police are when we bring them in for meetings, conferences.
