A family of eight is now contemplating their next move after their house was burnt to the ground yesterday.
Speaking with this newspaper, 43-year-old Arthur Tyndall of Grant Providence, Lower Pomeroon River said that no one was at home when the incident occurred.
“I was at Charity because I went to a funeral and I got a call saying that my house burn down. I gone home immediately and when I reach I see everything that I own burn up.
My house had one big room but was furnished. I have nothing in my name now. All my family and me get is the clothes and shoes we get on.”
Tyndall said he lost all his household items including his refrigerator, washing machine, beds, gas stove, wardrobe, water tank and television.
“My children school book and all their school clothes burn up too. Nobody was not at home so we don’t have no idea how the fire started.
The neighbour was not at home either so we don’t know if anyone start the fire but I don’t have any bad relationship with nobody. Right now I don’t know where my family will sleep tonight (Tuesday Night)”, he lamented.
