Dear Editor,
We learn that despite being ‘forced’ to retire by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), the Government of Guyana says it is exploring ways to honour a great son of the soil ‒ Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
My suggestion is that his photo should be on one of our country’s paper currency notes, ie, the five thousand dollar note or another denomination showing him stroking the ball gracefully in his inimitable style to the boundary
