Investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 0830h. yesterday on the Suddie Public Road, Essequibo Coast, and which resulted in the death of Krisnauth Kassinauth, 48 years, of Zorg, Essequibo Coast.
The police say that investigations have revealed that Kassinauth was riding a motor cycle along the roadway, when it is alleged that a motor vehicle which was travelling in the opposite direction turned across the road in front of him and resulted in a collision.
Kassinauth was admitted to hospital where he later succumbed.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
