The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) yesterday shortlisted the top performers in the ongoing GCB/Banks DIH Ltd/Digicel National Secondary Schools League in a squad which will commence training on Monday in an effort to select the East Coast Demerara 14 member squads.
Apart from the 14 players, six reserve players will also be selected based on their performances which will be reviewed by a selection committee. According to a release, the training sessions will be held Monday and Tuesday at the Enterprise Community Development Centre ground under the supervision of Latchman Yadram and Jitlall Jowharilall, commencing at 13:00 hours.
The training sessions will be used to select a Combined Elite Team to represent East Coast Demerara against Mahaica next Wednesday at the Enmore Community Development Centre ground.
The players called for training with a view of selection are:
