The woman who was seriously injured in a crash at Providence, East Bank Demerara on Thursday is recovering.
Stabroek News was told that while Natasha Williams is still admitted at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital, she was slowly getting better. “Of course we don’t know what exactly happen cause we weren’t there but from what we hearing is that the driver was speeding and he fall asleep and that’s how he pull the wheel and hit the post,” a relative told Stabroek News yesterday.
In Friday’s edition Stabroek News had erroneously named the injured person as Sasha Ramjattan. Stabroek News regrets the error.
While there were other passengers in the bus, none of them was seriously injured. The driver is expected to be charged this week.
