A South Sophia man was yesterday placed on $100,000 bail by a city court after making an appearance on a wounding charge.
The accused, Jamal Fraser, 23, of 141 South Sophia, was read a charge that stated that on February 11th, at Duncan Street, Campbellville, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Danielle Gonsalves.
Fraser denied the allegation.
Prosecutor Deniro Jones did not object to bail being granted to the accused, who received same in the sum of $100,000 on the condition that he not go within 50 feet of the complainant. The matter was adjourned to March 3rd by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
